Barbara Archer was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, and educated on the East Coast, where she lived until moving to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, her present home. She has taught English to both college and high school students and has worked as a book editor and freelance writer. Since she began to write and submit poetry in 2005, her poems have appeared in a number of journals, including Adagio Verse Quarterly, Subtle Tea, Red Booth Review, Snakeskin Review, and others.
