Born in NYC in 1939, Lynn Strongin grew up around New York and in various parts of the South where her father was an army psychologist, continually restationed. Her early studies in musical composition branched out into poetry. She worked for Denise Levertov in the politically active Sixties, worked on thirty plus anthologies, fifty-five journals (both on-line and in print) and had nine published books by mid-2006, including one electronic chapbook. She has received two PEN grants and one NEA Creative Writing Grant. Her work was recently nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She currently makes her home is British Columbia, Canada.
